DNA Evidence Leads Police To Arrest Child Rape Suspect
COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (CBS4)- Police in Colorado Springs used DNA to connect the rape of a child to a suspect.
Police believe Leonard Palmer sexually assaulted a 12-year-old girl while she was walking to school the morning of Oct. 25.
At the time of the attack, Palmer was an escaped prisoner from Louisiana. He was returned to that state within 24 hours of the attack where he remains in jail.
Palmer is facing charges of kidnapping and sexual assault on a child.
