Denver Police Want Public's Help In Double Murder Investigation

DENVER (CBS4) – Denver police are asking for the public's help with information after two people were found murdered inside a home in the 1900 block of Trenton Street last Thursday.

The landlord says one victim lived there for years with nothing unusual happening. Neighbors said the man who lived in the home was quiet and kept to himself.

The call came in to police around 3:15 p.m. on Thursday.

Authorities have identified the victim that lived in the home as Alexander Tower. The second victim has been identified as Francisco Gutierrez. The men are believed to have been last seen together at a downtown Denver nightclub on Dec. 22 at approximately 2 a.m.

"Anyone with information on these homicides or anyone who knows of either Mr. Tower or Mr. Gutierrez and may have seen either of them at the nightclub or since Dec. 21 is urged to contact the Denver Police Department Homicide Unit or call Crime Stoppers," police said in a statement.

The landlord says that she is shocked such a thing happened to her tenant. She said he lived there for four years and was a good renter.

Denver detectives went door to door on Saturday asking neighbors for information.

Police say both men died from gunshots however neighbors say they didn't hear any gunshots.
