Busier-Than-Ever DIA To Add 39 New Gates

DENVER (CBS4) - More than 58 million people traveled through Denver International Airport last year, and the airport expects that to increase.

For that reason, officials at DIA plan to add 39 new gates.

The gates will be added to all three concourses at a cost of $1.5 billion.

They'll be paid for through bonds, which are generally paid back by the airlines.

Officials at DIA hopes to have all the gates in place by 2021.
