Denver Airport Expects Big Holiday Rush
DENVER (AP) -- Denver airport officials say Memorial Day weekend signals the start of summer travel and they're already seeing an influx.
Denver International Airport expects Thursday to be the busiest day of the holiday weekend with nearly 170,000 passengers traveling through. Airlines predict a total of slightly more than 1 million travelers will go through the airport between this Tuesday through Monday.
That was roughly the final tally at DIA for the same period last year.
Airport officials are urging people to be in line at the ticket counters at least two hours before their flights.
