Daycare Employee Arrested In Sexual Assault On A Child Case
LITTLETON, Colo. (CBS4)- The lead teacher at a KinderCare in Littleton is jailed on sexual assault on a child and sexual assault by one in a position of trust. Paul James Kerr, 32, is accused of assaulting a child at the daycare facility in March.
Police said their investigation into possible sexual assault on a child revealed several victims at the KinderCare, 5472 S. Federal Circle, in Littleton. The investigation was instigated when a child told a parent about the assault.
Kerr has worked at that KinderCare since July 2010.
Kerr also worked as a substitute teacher in both the Jefferson County and Denver school districts.
Kerr was booked into the Arapahoe County Jail on a $50,000 bond.
Investigators urge parents to talk to their children immediately.
"He's been in contact with a lot of children. We really encourage people to see the photo and if your child was a student of his, to speak with your child very candidly and frankly," said Sean Dugan with Littleton Police.
