'Dangerous' Suspect At Large After Strasburg Murder
STRASBURG, Colo. (CBS4) - Authorities in Arapahoe County say a 58-year-old man suspected of killing a woman in the Strasburg area over the weekend is at large and dangerous.
Andrew Ausmus was described as being 5-foot-11, weighing 230 pounds and having brown hair and hazel eyes. In a photo sheriff's investigators released of him he has a beard, but they didn't state whether he still has one.
Ausmus is wanted on a first degree murder charge in the death of a woman who is not being identified. Police are not saying how the victim was killed.
Anyone who sees Ausmus is asked to call 911 and not approach him.
The woman's body was found by firefighters at a home on 4185 South County Road 157, near East Quincy Avenue, at 1:10 a.m. on Saturday. The house caught fire and was damaged, and the body was pulled from the garage during the firefight.
Friends and neighbors told CBS4 the woman who died worked for United Airlines. They said there was a planned exchange of property with the victim's ex-husband on Friday.
