Crews Rescue Hiker After 40+ Foot Fall
PITKIN COUNTY, Colo. (CBS4)- Crews rescued a hiker near Snowmass Peak after he fell more than 40 feet.
Late Wednesday night, a man was heard calling for help near the peak in Pitkin County. He had suffered multiple bone injuries.
Member of Mountain Rescue Aspen responded along with helicopters from Flight for Life and the National Guard.
Crews secured the man for transport and airlifted him to a nearby hospital. The rescue operation was completed by 9 a.m. Thursday.
