Commerce City Tire Shop Accident Victim Identified
COMMERCE CITY, Colo. (CBS4)- The man killed in an accident at a tire shop in Commerce City on Thursday has been identified as Roberto Rios, 27, of Thornton.
Rios was killed when he was struck by a car driven by another employee at the 3 Amigos Tires shop at 6100 E. 64th Ave. about 5 p.m. on Thursday. Police said he died after a teenage co-worker struck him while driving a car up a tire rack ramp.
Police believe it was an accident and have not filed charges. The teenager has not been identified.
Police told CBS4 News that it is not illegal for a minor to drive a vehicle on private property without a driver's license.
