Colorado Woman In D.C. When Bin Laden Death Announced
DENVER (CBS4) - A woman from Colorado was at the White House when the news broke of Osama bin Laden's death on Sunday.
Melissa Tessitore talked to CBS4 about what happened when she landed in Washington, D.C.
"I was in the cab and the cab driver said lets listen to the White House on the radio and on the radio they were talking about the huge crowd out here at the White House. I said, 'I have to be here, I have to see it, it's history, it's such an opportunity,'" Tessitore said.
Tessitore joined the thousands of people at the White House. Usually the White House turns off the lights, but the lights were on past midnight.
Tessitore was in the nation's Capitol workings for the National Cattleman's Beef Association.
