COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (AP) - A Palmer High School student is recovering from minor injuries after she was hit by a car and rolled over the hood near her school.

The unidentified student was taken to the hospital where she was treated for minor injuries and released.

The driver of the vehicle, Tessa Mackey, was ticketed for failure to yield to a pedestrian.
