Colorado Springs Puts Stop To Red Light Cameras
COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (CBS4)- Colorado Springs will stop using its red light cameras at the end of the year.
The city decided to not renew its contract for the cameras. The red light cameras are installed at four intersections.
Earlier this month, the mayor and police chief suggested ending the program because they weren't convinced the cameras made the intersections safer.
The end to the red light camera program will free up at least two police employees for other assignments.
