Colorado Springs Police Suffer Chemical Exposure
COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (AP) -- Several Colorado Springs police officers have been treated for exposure to hazardous chemicals while investigating a burglary.
Police suffered burning and itching eyes, headaches and sore throats on Tuesday after they entered a residence where the homeowner was using chemicals to refine silver.
Ambulance attendants treated the officers and they quickly recovered.
