Colorado Springs Officer Punched At Car Wreck
COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (AP) -- A Colorado Springs police officer suffered minor injuries when he was punched in the face while investigating a car accident.
The officer says he found two women arguing early Wednesday after he arrived to investigate the accident and when he tried to step in to break it up, he got hit. Police say the woman kicked another officer in the leg after she was arrested.
Police say 19-year-old Audra Maldonado is facing assault and underage drinking charges. The other woman, 20-year-old Sarah Himmel, is facing DUI and other traffic charges.
The officers were not identified.
