Colorado Springs Officers Hit By Drivers
COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (AP) - Two Colorado Springs police officers will be OK after drivers struck them in unrelated incidents early Sunday.
The first accident happened when an unnamed female officer was hit during a traffic stop just after 1 a.m. The driver she pulled over allegedly reversed his car after she stopped her vehicle and hit her at a speed of about 30 mph. KKTV reports that the officer was hospitalized and released.
The second accident happened a short time later when another officer's was hit by a suspected drunk driver.
Colorado Springs police say both officers were hospitalized and released.
