Colorado Lottery Reports Record In Sales
DENVER (AP) -- The Colorado Lottery says record sales of Scratch tickets and new Jackpot games helped it post $518.9 million in sales for the fiscal year that ended June 30.
That's the Lottery's best sales performance on record and represents a 3.5 percent increase from the previous year's sales.
The Lottery paid out $328.3 million in prizes in the latest fiscal year, up from $307.7 million in the previous year.
Colorado Lottery says Great Outdoors Colorado will receive $56 million from the sale of lottery tickets in the last fiscal year. The Conservation Trust Fund will receive $45.3 million, Colorado State Parks will receive $11.3 million, and $662,230 will be returned to the Public School Capital Construction Assistance Fund.
