Colorado Governor Revamps Economic Development
DENVER (AP) -- Gov. John Hickenlooper is making major changes to the Colorado Office of Economic Development and International Trade.
The Denver Post says Hickenlooper has dismissed six staffers and plans to hire 18 others as part of his plan to give local communities a bigger role in developing their own plans.
Business leaders say the office has been sidetracked by programs mandated by state legislators.
