After a Touch of Summer, Back to Cooler, Wetter Weather
By Ed Greene
DENVER (CBS4) - A touch of summer on this Wednesday as our high soared to 84 degrees - nine degrees above normal for this time of year. But it is just a one day event as a cool front will bring cooler temperatures, showers and storms for Thursday into the weekend.
Increasing clouds on Thursday with a chance for scattered thunderstorms - a high in the mid 70s. Cooler still with thunderstorms and a high only in the upper 60s under mostly cloudy skies for Friday.
As we head into the three day holiday weekend, a cool Saturday with showers and storms and a high only in the lower 60s. Some improvement on Sunday: partly cloudy with only isolated storms and a high in the mid to upper 60s. For Monday, the Memorial Day holiday, partly cloudy, a few isolated storms and into the low 70s. Little change as we all get back to work on Tuesday: partly sunny, scattered storms, back in the lower 70s.
