Colorado Couple Killed In Small Plane Crash
GUYMON, Okla. (AP) — A Colorado couple was killed in a small plane crash in the Oklahoma Panhandle. The plane wreckage was found Wednesday.
The couple, Neil Asting and his wife Karen had been visiting relatives for Easter in Oklahoma. They took off from the El Reno Airport Monday morning.
They were flying back to Colorado Springs but never made it. The couple lived in Monument.
Federal Aviation Administration spokesman Lynn Lunsford says the single-engine aircraft that disappeared was found shortly before 4 p.m. Wednesday about four miles northwest of Guymon — about 265 miles northwest of Oklahoma City. Lunsford says the burned wreckage was spotted by another pilot.
