Colorado Company Gets NASA Contract
LOUISVILLE, Colo. (AP) -- The Sierra Nevada Corp. has been awarded an $80 million contract to develop the Dream Chaser spacecraft in Louisville.
The contract announced Monday is part of a plan to speed development of crew space transportation to and from the International Space Station and other missions.
Colorado Sen. Mark Udall says the project has the potential to change the way people and cargo get into space. He says the project will create about 100 new, high-paying jobs in the Boulder County community.
