Closure Of I-70 At Idaho Springs For Bridge Construction Underway
IDAHO SPRINGS, Colo. (CBS4) - A planned construction project on Interstate 70 near Idaho Springs is finally getting underway.
A closure was originally set for last weekend but was postponed because of construction equipment delays and weather issues.
Now the abutment and girder work on the new bridge over I-70 will begin Saturday evening.
Traffic will be reduced to one lane in each direction starting at 8 p.m. Work will continue for the next several nights through Thursday.
