Cat Burglar On The Prowl In JeffCo
JEFFERSON COUNTY, Colo. (CBS4)- Authorities are warning people who live in the southern part of Jefferson County to be alert for a cat burglar who is entering homes when people are inside.
Four homes were burglarized between the morning of Feb. 2 into the morning of Feb. 4.
In three of the burglaries the residents were home. They were either asleep or unaware someone was in their home.
The suspects entered the homes through unlocked rear doors or windows. The items stolen include wallets, purses, jewelry and cash.
Three different neighborhoods involved include Powderhorn, Westridge and Meadow Ranch.
Anyone with information about the cat burglaries are asked to call the JeffCo Sheriff's Office tip line at 303-271-5612.
The sheriff's office urges everyone to lock their windows and doors and to remain vigilant of suspicious activity in their neighborhoods.
