Broncos Rookie QB Signs, Gets A Chance To Play Alongside His Idol
ENGLEWOOD, Colo. (CBS4) - Denver Broncos rookie quarterback Zac Dysert, a seventh round draft pick out of Miami of Ohio, is looking forward to be practicing alongside his idol, Peyton Manning.
It was just the rookies practicing over the weekend, but next week Dysert will be out there alongside Manning.
"It is not a big deal, obviously, but Peyton Manning has been a big; I've always looked up to him," Dysert said. "Just the way he carries himself, the way he prepares and the way he just does everything. You know, I just want to be just like him pretty much."
By taking a quarterback in the draft, John Elway thinks Dysert has great potential. The team announced Monday that Dysert has signed with the Broncos.
Dysert played 46 games for Miami as a three-year team captain and finished his career as the school's all-time leading passer after completing 1,066-of-1,672 passes for 12,013 yards with 73 touchdowns and 51 interceptions.
