Brighton Police Deny Favorable Treatment To Accused Firefighter
BRIGHTON, Colo. (CBS4) - The Brighton Police Department denies giving favorable treatment to a firefighter accused of domestic violence.
Lt. Randy Cleveland is accused of pushing his pregnant wife down the stairs, hitting her with a hammer and forcing her to have sex.
In divorce papers, Cleveland's wife claims when officers arrived to investigate they "high-fived" the fire lieutenant.
In the arrest affidavit some firefighters say they felt Cleveland received special treatment because the officers knew him.
