Boy Gets New Wheelchair After Theft

AURORA, Colo. (CBS4) - A young boy is once again cruising around in a special wheelchair after thieves stole his custom chair.

Gavin Serff got the new chair as a gift from Kids Mobility Network. When his parents asked the organization for the serial number for the stolen chair, it offered up a new chair.

"We're just very thankful to them and we hope that he's just one of the thousands of other kids they're going to help this year … very neat organization," Gavin's mother Stephanie Serff said.

The new chair is actually the third piece of equipment the nonprofit has given Gavin in his short life. He suffers from Lowe syndrome, which affects his eyes and kidneys.
