Body Found In Weld County Ditch Had Gunshot Wound
GREELEY, Colo. (CBS4/AP) -- Authorities say a man whose body was found wrapped in a blue tarp in an irrigation ditch in Weld County was shot in the head.
Weld County sheriff's officials said Thursday the death of 41-year-old Joseph Peters is being investigated as a homicide.
Employees of the Farmers Reservior and Irrigation Co. found his body Wednesday near Interstate 76 and Weld County Road 12 1/2.
Sheriff's officials say Peters was last known to have been in the greater Denver area or Brighton area.
