Wind Chill Readings Could Hit 20 Below Zero New Year's Eve In Denver

DENVER (CBS4) - You will need several layers if you plan to be out and about Monday night no matter where you live across Colorado. Temperatures will be in the single digits above and below zero for most locations.
With temperatures so cold the wind chill readings could be as low as -20°F with a light wind of just 5 to 10 mph. The wind chill tells us how the air actually feels to exposed skin when factoring in the current temperature and wind speed. Light snow will make streets and sidewalks slick for those out celebrating New Year's Eve.
To use the chart below simply look down the left side for your current wind speed and across the top for the current air temperature. The corresponding number where that row and column meet is the wind chill.
The cold will stick around into New Year's Day with a warming trend set to begin on Wednesday.
