Creating clothing with organic and repurposed materials is the quest of several Denver area retailers. At their stores, shoppers can find a variety of environmentally friendly apparel options for adults and babies. Some of Denver's organic retailers do not yet have store fronts, but feature their items exclusively on the web.

Located in Lakewood's Belmar shopping center, ecoPOLITAN specializes in the most important accessory for infants, their diaper. The store offers a variety of cloth diapers. They are not the old fashioned diapers held together with pins. These diapers feature modern twists including elastic in the legs and snaps at the waist. Shoppers can find diapers that look like army fatigues and others in kangaroo prints. Store owner, Robin Morris, said it's a great way to save money. Morris said that diapering a child from birth to potty training with cloth diapers will cost a parent about $600 total.
