Arvada Police Seek Public's Help In Identifying Theft Ring
ARVADA, Colo. (CBS4)- Police in Arvada are searching for a group of thieves who are targeting recreation centers in the Arvada area.
The suspects forcibly remove locks from locker room areas or take advantage of crimes of opportunity, stealing unlocked personal items including cell phones, keys and credit cards.
There have been more than 30 reported thefts in the last 12 months.
Three suspects have been identified and video footage shows the men are working together.
The first suspect is a white man with brown hair, 20-30 years old, 5-foot-9 to 6-foot with a medium to heavy build. Surveillance footage shows the suspect wearing a red shirt, blue jeans and a black jacket.
The second suspect is a Hispanic man with brown hair, 20-30 years old and also between 5-foot-9 to 6-foot.
The third suspect is a white man with blond hair, 20-30 years old, 5-foot nine to 6-foot with a medium to heavy build.
They are associated with a dark-colored early 90s Pontiac Bonneville.
The suspects are believed to be from the the area because of their criminal pattern. Soon after the thefts they use the credit cards at nearby locations in Arvada, Lakewood and Wheat Ridge.
