Talib Spotted Without Crutches, Says He'll Be Ready For Camp
AURORA (CBS4) - Aqib Talib is off his crutches and says he'll be ready to go soon.
The Broncos cornerback suffered a gunshot wound in an incident in Dallas last month. CBS4 cameras captured him walking around comfortably at the T.J. Ward Foundation Celebrity Golf Tournament on Monday.
The tournament took place at Blackstone Country Club in Aurora and gave Talib and many of his teammates, including Ward who hosted the annual tournament, a chance to relax and enjoy some golf before the start of training camp next Thursday.
Teammate DeMarcus Ware told CBS4 he's happy to see how quickly Talib is recovering.
"I think that's what we've been looking for," Ware said.
"Just being able to have him back and being able to play this season (is great)."
Talib didn't speak with reporters but he said he'll be healed up enough to be able to participate in training camp practices.
Ward's tournament raises funds for youth development.
