Amber Alert: 2 Boys Found Safe, Mother Arrested For Alleged Kidnapping
ENGLEWOOD, Colo. (CBS4) - Police in Englewood announced that two boys who they say were allegedly kidnapped by their mother have been found safe and their mother was taken into custody on the charge of kidnapping.
The incident happened Sunday morning at 4922 South Galapago Street.
Rebecca Dinapoli, 38, is accused in the kidnapping.
"There is a court order prohibiting Rebecca from having contact with (her children). Rebecca is known to abuse drugs and suffers from mental health issues," Englewood police said in a statement.
"The boys went outside to retrieve something from the car. When grandpa went to the door to check on the boys he saw the GRY/Silver Chevy Equinox pulling out of the driveway with mom driving," The Colorado Bureau of Investigation said in a statement.
