After Attempted Car Thefts, Police Search For SUV

DENVER (CBS4) - Denver police are looking for the public's help tracking down those responsible for a rash of attempted car thefts Friday morning.

They shared the description of an SUV that is possibly tied to the cases, and they said the people inside should be considered armed an dangerous.

The tweet went out at approximately 9:30 a.m., a few hours after a Denver homeowner nearly had their car stolen by two suspects who fired a shot during the attempted theft.

That incident is believed to be one of four different crimes Friday morning where people attempted to steal cars.

The department sent out a tweet saying officers are searching for a silver Nissan Murano with the Colorado license plate 940-JFQ. Anyone who spots the vehicle is asked to call 911 immediately.
