4 Arrested For Theft In Waldo Canyon Fire Burn Area

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (AP) - Four people have been arrested after neighbors reported someone stealing metal from homes destroyed by the Waldo Canyon Fire.

Police patrolling the area stopped a vehicle as it was leaving on Sunday. They arrested Selina Blair, Liza Mcfadden-Rhane, Marshall Brooks and Tero Rhane for suspicion of trespassing and theft.

The wildfire fire burned across about 29 square miles in the Colorado Springs area after it started June 23. It killed two people and burned 359 homes, making it the most destructive in state history.

The blaze was fully contained by July 10 and the cause is under investigation.
