3 Hospitalized After Federal Boulevard Hit-And-Run

DENVER (CBS4) - Denver police are looking for suspects in a hit-and-run that involved several victims.

Police said at least three people associated with a nearby Vietnamese restaurant were run down by a car at Federal Boulevard and Mississippi Avenue just after 2 a.m. Sunday.

According to Denver police, a large fight started outside of the nearby Maxim Lounge. Police believe a silver Honda Civic hatchback was fleeing the area of the fight when the hit-and-run occurred. Three of those people were taken to the hospital with serious bodily injuries. Two, identified as an elderly couple, are listed in critical condition. Another man was listed in serious condition. Their names haven't been released.

A fourth person was also hit by the car but was able to walk away and sought medical attention on her own and was diagnosed with a concussion.

Police believe the silver Honda Civic involved has significant front-end damage and has a ski rack on top and tinted. The vehicle lost part of the front lower fender at the scene. Late Sunday they released a somewhat blurry surveillance image showing the vehicle:

Police initially described the incident as a possibly intentional hit-and-run, but now say that's not the case.

There are a number of restaurants, stores and other businesses in the heavily trafficked area. Unfortunately, none of them were likely open at the time of the incident.

Anyone with any information is asked to call Denver police.
