3 Considered For Colorado Supreme Court

DENVER (AP) -- Gov. John Hickenlooper is considering three nominations to replace retiring Justice Alex Martinez on the Colorado Supreme Court.

The Supreme Court Nominating Commission on Wednesday recommended Brian D. Boatright of Arvada, Frederick T. Martinez of Castle Pines, and Patrick T. O'Rourke of Highlands Ranch for the position.

The vacancy is effective Oct. 31. Hickenlooper will have 15 days from Thursday to appoint one of the nominees as a justice on the Colorado Supreme Court.
