2 Treated For Burns After Colorado Springs Fire

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (AP) - An adult and a child are being treated for burns following a fire at a home in Colorado Springs.

Four other children were also treated and released following the fire, which left the home uninhabitable.

Capt. Richard Coffey said he didn't know the extent of the burns suffered by the adult and child who were taken to Denver burn units.

It appears the fire may have started in the home's garage and spread to the home but the investigation is still underway.

Two cars in the driveway were on fire when firefighters arrived and flames up to about 20 feet high were coming out the garage.

Twelve people were at the home when the fire broke out. Coffey said they will now be staying with relatives in the area.
