2 Companies Expanding, 1 Moving To Commerce City

COMMERCE CITY, Colo. (CBS4) - Two businesses in Commerce City are expanding operations, while another is moving in -- and that means new jobs.

On Wednesday, city, county and state leaders announced there will 150 new positions in Commerce City.

Precast Concepts makes customized concrete and is relocating from Ohio. The two companies expanding operations are UE Compression, which makes gas compressors; and Cummins Rocky Mountain, which makes specialized engines.

"It actually appears that the economy is starting to turn around a little bit. The interest that Commerce City is getting; we're poised perfect for development and can't thank these businesses enough for sticking with us and increasing the business in our city," Commerce City Mayor Sean Ford said.

Gov. John Hickenlooper says the businesses and the new jobs will be a boost to Adams County and the entire state.
