15 Weld County School Report Cases Of Whooping Cough
WELD COUNTY, Colo. (CBS4) - Weld County is warning parents about whooping cough cases.
The county health department says 15 schools have reported cases of pertussis since December.
Whooping cough is a persistent cough that's highly contagious.
While schools are hit particularly hard, the cases range from an infant to a 71-year-old adult.
The public health department is urging parents to make sure boosters are current and to get tested for lingering coughs.
