1 Suspect Arrested In Walmart Attack, Robbery, Search For 2nd Suspect

DENVER (CBS4)- Police in Denver have arrested one of the suspects wanted in an attack and robbery of a grandmother outside a Walmart store.

Two men approached Elmeania Lamprey, 70, outside the Walmart located at 7800 East Smith Road on Monday afternoon. She had just cashed her tax refund check and was walking back to her car when she was attacked.

One man took her refund, $4,800 in cash, and sped away with another man in a nearby car.

Police have arrested one suspect, Jesse Giron, 39, seen in the blue shirt in the picture above. He is being held for investigation of robbery and robbery of an at-risk person.

A Denver Police officer recognized Giron on the crime alert bulletin as a Team Manager with the PAL, Police Activities League.

Officers continue to search for Lenny Esquibel, 39, in the red hat in the picture above, who remains at large. Esquibel is wanted for investigation of robbery and robbery of an at-risk person.
