IRVING (CBSDFW.COM) - Irving Police have released dash cam videos that show the moment an officer's motorcycle was hit and the ensuing chase to catch the man who did it.

Tuesday afternoon, a driver believed to be texting and driving, hit the officer's motorcycle on the shoulder of westbound 183 and Belt Line Road and took off. The officer had just conducted a traffic stop and was giving another driver a ticket at the time of the crash. The officer was hit by the motorcycle but not seriously hurt.

The driver receiving the ticket took off in pursuit of the suspect, later identified as Jordan Daniel Dunn, and held him until police could catch up. The newly released videos show that officers were able to arrest Dunn in the parking lot of a hotel on 183 and Esters Road.
