Suspect in alleged sexual assault of a woman at work in custody, awaiting transfer, Irving police say

California man accused of sexually assaulting Irving store employee arrested in Tyler

IRVING — The suspect in a sexual assault at a business on Sunday is now in custody in the Smith County Jail, awaiting transfer to the Irving Jail, Irving police said.

The Tyler Police Department notified Irving PD that Patrick Francis Hoversten of Sonoma, California, was arrested by the Tyler police on Wednesday.

Irving PD said he entered a retail business near SH-183 and Esters Rd. on Sunday, confronted a female employee and forced her into a back room, where the alleged assault took place.

Irving PD identified Hoversten, of Sonoma, California, as the suspect on Tuesday.
