Irving Officer's Cruiser T-Boned In Coppell

COPPELL (CBSDFW.COM) - An Irving police officer responding with lights and siren to a car fire on I-635 near Beltline in was T-boned by a driver that didn't see him.

According to Irving police investigators two lanes of approaching traffic stopped when the cruiser entered the intersection, but one driver didn't and struck the driver side door of the officer's car.

The officer was not seriously injured. The accident is being investigated by Coppell police since he was in that city when the crash happened and he was heading back to Irving.
