Dallas Man Killed In Irving Hit-And-Run Identified

IRVING (CBSDFW.COM) - Irving Police are trying to find a suspect and suspect vehicle involved in deadly hit-and-run involving a pedestrian on or around Sunday, July 31.
The man who died has been identified as Carlos Ruiz, 23, of Dallas.
Police say it happened in the 2400 block of N. State Loop 12.
Police say they got a call Monday, August 1, around 2:00 p.m. about a body lying near the road.
That's when officers located Ruiz's body. They say he appeared to have been struck by a vehicle.
The initial investigation suggests the crash happened during the early morning hours of Sunday July 31, 2016 in the area of Southbound State Loop 12 and State Highway 114.
Police want anyone who may have witnessed some aspect of this crime or has relevant information is asked to contact the Irving Police Department at (972) 273-1010 and reference case number 16-17159.
