Teen Taken Into Custody Following Shooting Threat At Winslow Township High School
WINSLOW TOWNSHIP, N.J. (CBS) - A 13-year-old has been taken into custody for allegedly threatening to shoot up Winslow Township High School in Atco, New Jersey. School officials say the threat was left on the school's voicemail on Wednesday night.
The high school was placed on lockdown around 8:45 a.m. while police worked to trace the phone call. Winslow Middle School, which is next to the high school, was also placed in a lockout status as a precaution.
The teen was identified as a middle school student and will be charged with false public alarms and terroristic threats.
The lockdowns were lifted just after 10 a.m. The investigation revealed that the threat was not credible.
