Wednesday's Child: Yanerie

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- Yanerie loves singing -- whether it's gospel, or Rihanna.

This 14-year-old loves performing and says she wants to go to Juliard one day.

"I did school plays. I was in The Wiz. I was Evilena."

Her social worker, Eileen Storm, says Yanerie would thrive in a two-parent, permanent family:

"I would like to see her with, you know, like a nuclear family -- a mom and a dad and maybe some siblings."

Gloria Hochman, from the Philadelphia-based National Adoption Center, says Yanerie needs the love of a forever family.

"She definitely wants a family. She talks about wanting a family that will always be there for her."

For more information about adopting Yanerie or any other child, go to the National Adoption Center's  web site, www.adopt.org, or call 215-735-9988.
