Wednesday's Child: Akeisha

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- Akeisha, 10, loves fashion, especially when it means giving someone a makeover.
"I like to do makeup and dresses.," she says. "I pick out their outfits for them. And, some of the outfits, if I like them, I pick it out and it would be really cute. And I would match their shoes and socks and stuff."
But this young lady has a tough side.
"I like to play football," Akeisha says, "and basketball."
She's serious about school and says she might want to be a therapist when she grows up.
"I thought about all the bad things that happened to me and bad things that happened to other people. And I used to think I was the only one, but then other people had bad things happening to them," Akeisha says. "And then people helped me, so I thought, if I got good grades or something, then I would be able to help them."
Gloria Hochman, from the Philadelphia-based National Adoption Center, says Akeisha would be a great fit for a loving family.
"She said it best herself: she wants a family to take care of her and she wants to take care of other people when she grows up," Hochman says, "because she's had hard experiences and she wants to help other people who similarly have difficult experiences."
