Weather: Yet Another 90 Degree Day
By Geoff Bansen
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- We here in the CBS3 Eyewitness Weather Center are running out of ways to say "It's hot!"
Philadelphia will reach 90 degrees yet again, the second heat wave of 2015. The humidity will still be prevalent, though not quite as oppressive as it was on Monday. For that reason, no heat warnings or advisories have been issued, but that doesn't mean today's heat can't still be dangerous! You'll still need to use caution if you will be outdoors this afternoon. Wearing light clothing, drinking lots of water, and avoiding strenuous activity are all important, especially during the hottest parts of the day.
There are lots of clouds around this morning, associated with a cold front stalled over the region. A second cold front right on it's heels will push through this afternoon. This will bring several thunderstorms with it, but it's passage will clear things out and mark the arrival of a much more comfortable air mass. The rest of the week looks fantastic, with sunshine, average temperatures, and low humidity!
