WEATHER BLOG: Warming Up This Week
By Justin Drabick
Late July is the warmest time of year on average but this weekend was a different story.
An easterly wind flow and some clouds allowed for temperatures to remain below average in the low 80s this weekend. The average high temperature this time of year is 87 for Philadelphia.
Don't get used to the pleasant temperatures because a warmer and more humid air mass will return over the next few days.
Monday will still be on the comfortable side with highs back into the mid 80s. It will then start feeling humid on Tuesday with highs in the upper 80s and Wednesday will feel oppressive with highs in the low 90s.
There will be a chance for some scattered storms possible late Wednesday and again on Thursday as a cold front moves through.
