Vigil Held For 15-Year-Old Girl Killed In Olney Double Shooting

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- Philadelphia Police say the suspect in Monday's murder of a 15-year-old girl in Olney has surrendered to authorities.
Nineteen-year old Darian Person will now face charges in connection to the shooting death of that teen, who was remembered at a vigil Tuesday evening.
About 20 people gathered on the Einstein Medical Center campus, just yards away from the spot where 15-year-old Aisha Abdur-Rahman collapsed and died. The tragedy was the last straw for C.O.O. of the Nicetown CDC, Majeedah Rashid, who gave a passionate speech as tears streamed down her cheek.
"There's no reason for a young, 15-year-old sister to go to school and never come back home to her family. It's ridiculous. What are we gonna do? I'm asking everybody, every man that's here, what are you going to do? What would you do if it was your family?" Rashid said.
Rashid urged the community to engage the younger generation, saying Darian Person was at the Nicetown CDC just last week for help finding a job.
"We're missing something. There's a problem. We've got to find out what the problem is, and figure out how we're gonna work it out together. That's all I ask. We can do it together."
A 19-year-old man remains in critical condition, shot three times in Monday's incident.
