What could possibly be scarier than a man in a Jason mask on Halloween? How about a man in a Jason mask skanking (that sounds dirtier than it should) to Ska tunes this Halloween? Now, THAT is scary.
If you're looking for a real scare this week, or just want to hear some original Jamaican tunes man, get yourself into the 80's mindset (just the mindset though, no one wants to see you in your Zumba's) and head over to North Star Bar.

At 8pm on October 29th, The Toasters, Hub City Stompers, and Rockers Galore will re-introduce Philly to the wonderful world of Ska music, at the annual SKAlloween show.
With 33 years of bringing two-tone music—a genre that combines ska with punk rock— to the world, The Toasters are sure to knock you off your feet... if the guy bouncing next to you hasn't already.

Arrive early though, so you can also catch the Hub City Stompers, who have energized East Coast ska enthusiasts since 2002, along with Philly's very own, Rockers Galore.
So, grab your skanking shoes (for skanking), your lighters (for lighting…), and sexy Jason costume (for scaring the sh*t out of people) and have yourself a ska-ry good time. Come on, you had to see that pun coming.
