WAYNE, Pa., (CBS) -- Her husband's story captivated the nation and was the inspiration for the film "American Sniper."
Taya Kyle, the wife of the late Chris Kyle, spoke on the Main Line about her new book.
It's called "American Wife."
"American Sniper" is the story of Texan Chris Kyle, a Navy SEAL who did four tours of duty in Iraq. After returning home, he was shot and killed at a gun range.
"That's part of what we heard with the book and with the movie is that this is sort of every veteran's story through all the wars," said Taya Kyle.
CBS 3 Eyewitness News had the chance to sit down with Taya Kyle on Wednesday as she was signing her new book about life after Chris and so much more.

Wednesday night at Valley Forge Military Academy during an event with Talk Radio 1210 WPHT Kyle took questions from an audience of many veterans and military families.
"I think she's amazing, she's a tough woman," said a woman in the audience.
"She's very strong and inspiring and I think it's incredible that she can come out and tell her story," said Brandy Sheridan.
Taya says Chris gave her the courage to write the book and faith carried her through difficult times.
"My faith is something I lean on a lot and I think that God has a plan and he's probably been preparing us all for whatever we're going to face in the future," she said.
As far as the recent attack in her home state of Texas and terror threats on American soil:
"Chris wouldn't be surprised at all that it happened. I'm not surprised that it happened, I'm saddened and I think we're going to see more of it. Not that that should be terrifying I think it's just a reality and we have to be aware," she said.
But most of all she wants to make sure her husband's legacy lives on.
"That's the blessing and the gift and the reason to do this is to let people know they're not alone," she said.
Taya's book "American Wife" picks up where "American Sniper" left off. She says her message is not a political one, but meant to inspire other military families and women going through the same thing.
